Comedy Films That Will Tickle Your Funny Bone

Feburary is almost over, with Valentines Day come and gone, my single ass is back on her grind of watching comedy films and laughing till my sides are sore and my demons are chuckling under my bed. With the way that this semester is looking, a comedy film marathon once a night is like self care. College students really are doing the damn thing, and sometimes between the workload, friend drama, worries of getting internships or a job on campus or right after you gradute. Maybe, you're going abroad and you haven't gotten approved yet. All these things can weigh on a college student. Sometimes it's just better to close the door, order a cheesy pizza, take a hold of your favorite stuffed animals and just watch a funny film or two, or three, or four.

So, like always find your comfiest pjs, wrap yourself into a blanket burrito and let's get boogey with this list.

1) Love Rosie

A rom-com that when I first watched, didn't think I'd like. But, as I continued to watch, I knew that this going to be one of those movies I could watch over and over again and laugh at each joke every single time It's the subtley of the dialogue and how it's acted out that the little quips here and there really make it quite hilarious to watch.

Of course, there's also the romance part of the film, and we the audience get to see a lot of love coming in and falling apart. It's a very real movie that doesn't have the perfect couples. Sometimes life isn't perfect, and within the world of Love Rosie, isn't perfect doesn't quite explain everything that happens here.

Honestly, at certain parts, your heart will break for the characters who you love right from the get go. We'll watch what unhealthy relationships look like and how you want to hold onto something that clearly isn't working anymore, if it ever worked in the first place.

Give this 2014 film a watch, see how everything unfolds and come back to me. I guarantee we'll be gushing about it all night long.

2) Ferris Bueller's Day Off

If you haven't heard of this movie, I don't know what rock you've been hiding under.

A classic in the comedy world, you have the fantastic dance number, the adult figure you love to see get ripped apart. Think Home Alone but instead of two goons trying to break into an eight year olds house. It's a Dean of Students trying to prove that Ferris has been bullshitting all nine of his sick days.

The whole movie is hilarious from beginning to end. It even has a fantastical dance number in the middle of a parade. It really doesn't get any better than this. Matthew Broderick who has been in hilarious films like the remake of The Producers, Bee Movie, Inspector Gadget and Trainwreck. This is just to name a few.

He won't disappoint and I hope I don't either.

3) This Is Spinal Tap

A movie that isn't for everybodies sense of humor. This satrical comedy about a fictional metal band named Spinal Tap. For everybody my age, this is the fictional tour movie if One Direction wasn't real. I always believe that hilarity if done right, surpasses time and toil. While watching the movie, honestly it feels so real. It has the type of cinematography of films like The Blair Witch Trails. Where the camera can be a little shaky at times, as if not being professionally filmed at all times.

I think it's the little one liners within the film. The dialogue sounds almost too real. Like if you weren't in on the punchline you'd actually think that this was a serious rock and roll documentary.

When you're watching, remember that some of the movie can get to be a little raunchy so if you're not into that type of humor maybe the movie won't always be for you.

4) My Cousin Vinny

What happens you're two law students driving across America, you stop at a gas station in the middle of the south and the gas station you happened to have just been in was shot up literally five minutes after you left? You didn't do it though! But you two have the same car shape and color as the two who just shot up that gas station. Well, if you're Billy Gambini you call your cousin Vinny.

The south meets Brooklyn in this movie and it is quite a treat. Whenever I watch this movie I always laugh. I think what really sold me to this movie was actress Marisa Tomei, the female lead. If you don't recognize her she plays Aunt May in Tom Hollands Spiderman world. It's Marisa's character who wears leather, knows more about cars than any man around her. Knows when she's right, and stands up for what she believes in. She won't be treated wrongly by anybody, and can put you in your place within a second. She's the reason why I love this movie as much as I do.

Well, this has been my list of my four favorite comedy films. Let me know what you think.

As always.

All the love,

Cat:)
